Sue Willis
General Manager - The Noosa Journal / Sunshine Coast Property
Sue is a long-time resident of the Sunshine Coast and initially developed her career here as a Graphic Designer. In her early days Sue worked as a Creative Director on projects for Tourism Queensland and Fraser Coast Tourism, before making the move into media.
She joined Australian media giant APN News & Media in 1999, enjoying a country sabbatical as General Manager of the Western Star in Roma before returning to the company’s flagship, the Sunshine Coast Newspaper Company for three years, where she worked as Retail Advertising Manager, across their stable of products, including the Sunshine Coast Daily and Revive Magazine.
In September 2005 at just 35 years of age, Sue was diagnosed with breast cancer – an aggressive tumour – and an early diagnosis that saved her life. Sue managed her illness and subsequent treatment, together with her demanding role in corporate life as a wife and mother, with the support of her employer, family and friends.
Today, four (4) years on Sue remains cancer free and after working in local radio as the General Manager of the coast’s newest radio station Zinc 96.1, for the past two and a half years, she is enjoying a more conducive work life balance back in Newspapers heading up News Ltd’s Noosa Community title The Noosa Journal.
Sue resides in Noosa with her husband and two children, Sam (16) and Olivia (9). Amongst other community commitments, Sue sits on the Sunshine Coast Business Women’s Network Board as President, the Noosa Economic Sector Board, and is committed to the message of early detection of breast cancer as an Ambassador with the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation.
Rosanna Natoli
News Update Presenter - Seven Queensland
News is a very big part of Rosanna Natoli’s life and it has always been. She wanted to be involved in television news since she was a young girl.
“I love the adrenalin rush of a late breaking story. Whether it’s a hard hitting exclusive or heart wrenching story, there’s nothing quite like the thrill of news writing.
“People are always stopping me in the street to talk about the news. They are fascinated by it,” Rosanna said. “It’s obviously important to them.”
Rosanna Natoli was born in Bundaberg, however her family moved to Brisbane where she grew up. She has a Bachelor of Science, majoring in psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Communication – Journalism. Rosanna achieved excellent results.
She began working as a journalist for Sunshine Television News (now Seven Local News) in Bundaberg, then Maryborough, before gaining a position in Maroochydore. There she became a presenter.
Currently she is combining her role with motherhood. Her first daughter Ruby, was born in January, 2002, her second, Mia was born in July 2004 with son Roman born in April 2006.
She also teaches at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Journalism. Her students love her hands-on approach and the way she weaves her experience into her workshops.
