Jacinta Elks
(Public Education & Community Awareness) Jacinta Elks is the Cancer Care Coordinator for the Sunshine Coast and Cooloola Health Districts, and has been an oncology nurse since 1988. She has a General Nursing Certificate (NGH), Bachelor of Nursing (QUT), Graduate Diploma of Nursing -Cancer Care (QUT), Certificate in Chemotherapy Nursing Practice (NSWCN) and is currently completing her Master of Letters (CQU). She is a member of the Queensland Oncology Nurses Group, the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the Cancer Nurses Society of Australia. She also has three children, two of whom are in the same classes as Cindyís two beautiful daughters Gemma and Hannah, and was fortunate enough to count the vivacious and caring Cindy Mackenzie as a friend. She is committed to easing the physical and emotional burden carried by cancer sufferers on the Sunshine Coast.
